VocalData® for Trucks

VocalData Tracker is the only datalogger that integrates bioacoustics and environmental monitoring to provide a complete view of the chicks’ condition during transport.

With VocalData Tracker, vocalizations can be interpreted in real time and related to critical environmental parameters, allowing for faster decision-making through its configurable alarms, precise detection of bird presence, and efficiency, as it is a small, reusable device.

The trackers, due to their small size, can be placed at box level inside the truck to obtain real-time information on the animals’ condition.

The data collected in real time is displayed on the VocalData platform, where it can be accessed at any time. This allows for continuous monitoring of animal welfare, real-time tracking of the truck’s location and route, and monitoring of the environmental conditions inside the vehicle.

With VocalData Tracker, every trip becomes an opportunity to care for, optimize, and ensure the well-being of the chicks.

VOCALDATA

VocalData Tracker is part of an ecosystem of devices and a platform to digitize and automate the control and management of animals in real time.

Precision Livestock Farming

Precision Livestock Farming (PLF) represents a revolution in the way animal production is managed. This approach combines advanced technologies such as sensors, artificial intelligence, and data analytics to monitor the animals’ condition and their environment in real time.

Thanks to PLF, it’s possible to detect changes in animal behavior, health, and welfare early, optimizing management practices and improving production efficiency. Instead of relying solely on manual observations, producers can make decisions based on objective and continuous data.

In a context where sustainability, animal welfare and profitability are increasingly important, PLFs like VocalData are positioned as a key tool for smarter, more efficient and responsible livestock farming.

Bioacoustics, the study of sounds produced by living beings, has become an innovative tool for understanding animal welfare. In the case of chicks, their vocalizations are not simple sounds: they constitute a complex language that reflects their physiological, emotional, and environmental state.

Factors such as temperature, humidity, air quality, and group density directly influence the acoustic behavior of birds. Subtle changes in the frequency, intensity, or pattern of their sounds can indicate stress, discomfort, or optimal developmental conditions.

VocalData is a technology developed within the project selected under the fifth call (CoD5) of the Eurostars-3 Programme (International Collaborative R&D Action), CIIP-20241002 – Automated Bioacoustic Assessment System for Poultry Health.
