Composition: Food coloring, Chlorine-binding compounds according to the manufacturer’s documentation.
Properties: CL2 – Blue Control has a marker that turns the aqueous solution with the vaccine or the drug blue, which makes it possible to control the administration of the vaccine and other drugs and vitamins through the watering systems of animals, especially birds. The blue color remains on the tongue and mucous membranes of the mouths of the animals for 1-4 hours.
Chlorine is routinely added to disinfect tap water in an amount of 0.3 to 2.5 ppm (0.3 mg-2.5 mg / liter of water). At this concentration, chlorine is a strong inactivator for live vaccines. Free chlorine bactericidal concentration is 0.1-0.2 ppm, and virucidal 0.3-0.5 ppm. Therefore, before administering live vaccines, free chlorine in the water must be inactivated in order to protect the live strains of viruses and bacteria in the vaccine. The content of free chlorine in drinking water is difficult to control and very unstable. May vary widely in the vaccine (0.3-10 ppm). The taste and smell of chlorine are not a reliable indicator of its content. A person feels the smell and taste only in the range of 0.4-0.5 ppm. This concentration is many times higher than bactericidal and virucidal.
Indications: CL2 – Blue Control neutralizes free chlorine and strong alkaline pH in drinking water supplied to animals. Chlorine and highly alkaline pH inactivate live vaccines administered with drinking water, thus reducing their effectiveness. CL2 – Blue Control, thanks to the content of a blue dye, allows you to control the intake of a vaccine, medicine or vitamins.
